Service terms
Terms of Use
Last updated: 18 April 2026
1. Scope
These terms govern your use of Tulostan.fi and the related 3D printing, 3D modeling, and 3D scanning services provided by the service provider identified above (“we”, “us”). By placing an order you accept these terms.
2. Account and Access
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and your login credentials confidential. You must notify us without undue delay if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. Orders, Pricing and Payment
Prices shown at checkout include applicable Finnish VAT unless otherwise stated. Accepted payment methods are presented at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. An order becomes binding once payment is successfully authorized and you receive an order confirmation by email.
Every printed part is manufactured to your individual specification (chosen file, material, color, infill, finish, dimensions). Under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki 6 luku 16 §, kohta 1) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, Art. 16(c)), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not applyto goods that are produced according to the consumer’s specifications or are clearly personalized.
By confirming your order you acknowledge that production will begin based on your specification and that you lose the right to withdraw from the contract once production has been started.
This does not affect your statutory rights in case of a defective product (see section 7 below).
5. Customer Content and Intellectual Property
You confirm that the files, models, drawings and references you submit do not infringe third-party rights (including copyright, design rights, trademarks or patents) and comply with applicable law. You remain the owner of your content.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use your files solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order, including preparing print files, slicing, printing, quality control and delivery. We do not use your files for any other purpose and we do not share them with third parties except processors acting on our behalf.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit.
6. Delivery and Fulfillment
Unless otherwise agreed, we deliver within 30 days of the order confirmation. Delivery estimates shown at checkout are indicative and actual timing may vary due to production load, carrier timing, or force majeure conditions. If delivery is clearly delayed beyond what is reasonable, you may set an additional reasonable period and, if we still fail to deliver, cancel the order and receive a refund in accordance with mandatory consumer protection rules.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact info@tulostan.fi as soon as possible.
- Printing has not yet started: full refund of the order amount.
- Printing has already started: only the shipping cost is refunded, as production is already underway.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within a few business days.
8. Defects, Warranty and Consumer Rights
If the delivered part is defective (for example wrong dimensions caused by us, clear production error, damage during shipping), please contact info@tulostan.fi without undue delay after noticing the defect. We will reprint, repair, refund or otherwise resolve the issue in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki 5 luku).
Your statutory consumer rights are not limited by these terms. This section does not cover defects caused by errors in the file you submitted, by tolerances inherent to the chosen 3D printing process, or by normal wear and tear.
9. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Please send complaints first to info@tulostan.fi so that we can try to resolve the matter directly. As a consumer, you can also contact Finnish Consumer Advisory Services (Kuluttajaneuvonta, kkv.fi/kuluttajaneuvonta) or refer the dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta, kuluttajariita.fi).
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Finnish law. A consumer may always bring a claim before the court of their place of residence within the EU. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence are not affected by this clause.
11. Open-Source Software
Our instant price and print-time estimates are generated using BambuStudio, which is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). The corresponding source code is available at the linked repository.
